wine and cocktails
Over this summer we shall be mixing a limited menu of refreshing summer cocktails. Them menu for these will be on the bar and / or on your table. Remember that cocktails are strong so drink sensibly - only one at a time!!
We consider wine to be a major part of Britain’s pub culture. Over the last 15 years wine has become more accepted, cheaper and more widely available. For example, in the 1970s you were unlikely to see men in pubs drinking wine! The increase of wine in pubs has gone hand in hand with the growing availability of pub food: “To have food without wine, is to eat and not dine”.
Our attitude on wine is that is should be affordable by the glass and of a quality good enough to compliment our food menu; striking a balance between the ‘old’ and ‘new’ worlds.
